Site Info

I’m a writer, and I am using this blog as my writer’s journal. The subject matter will range over whatever strikes my fancy.  If you’d like to contact me, just email me at rudyvalue at nextintheseries dot com.

And, oh yes, the name of the blog comes from, of all places, an episode of The Gilmore Girls:

  2. Sorry that it took so long to get this comment in place, Brody. I haven’t been checking the spam folder much lately.

  4. My response to anyone who thinks that there is a code embedded in the dedication to the sonnets can be found here: http://areyouhappynownormanmailer.wordpress.com/2008/05/06/eternitie/. Do I expect anyone who believes this rubbish to change their minds? Not at all. Theirs is a belief of the religious sort, and they can’t be swayed by mere facts and good research. Once one comes to believe in the notion of a conspiracy, those who poke holes in that belief are seen as being poor blind fools. I wonder if there is any correlation between the demise of religious belief in the face of science and the rise in the belief in conspiracy theories? There is some research out there that indicates that the impulse to religious belief is pretty deeply ingrained in people. Perhaps if it can’t find an outlet in its intended direction, it finds release elsewhere. At least in some people.
